The Move in Night DISASTER

So, I got all moved in yesterday! Charger Village is soooooooo nice!

The move in process went very slow, this building is huge and there are only two elevators so it took FOREVER to get up to the fifth floor. I got everything in my room, mostly unpacked, but had to run around campus and take care of a few things before they started sending out refunds for financial aid.

Everything went fine, and as they day wound down I figured it had been perfect in terms of a hectic move in.

But then.

At 4:20 a.m. the fire alarm set off. (No joke, it was EXACTLY 4:20! )

The fire alarm in this building, as I learned, does not sound like your conventional fire alarm. It is just a LOUD BLARRING HIGH PITCHED TONE for what feels like 5 minutes before a voice finally tells you it is a fire alarm. It scare the absolute CRAP out of me when it went off. I have a large hatred of loud noises, so when it went off, and not knowing what it was, I panicked and covered my ears and just stared into the darkness.

After I finally processed what was going on, I jumped out of bed and just grabbed shoes and got out of there.

After about 20 minutes of being outside, we were let back inside to find out that some guy had been smoking in his room and trying to tamper with the fire alarm. Smoking isn't even allowed within something like 25 feet of the building, but what made me the most angry was it was at 4:20 A.M.!!!!!!!

Long story short, I had to get an RA to let me back in my room, and I had the hardest time getting back to sleep and woke up early because I couldn't sleep anymore.

I'm just dead today.
